The other night, as he was about to play some music for us at Buzzy’s Country Store, Gary Rue made a comment about how seeing the old candy case there reminded him of a scene from a Robert Duval movie.
I believe the movie that Gary was referencing was Open Range which I have discussed previously (click here.) However, the video that I included in that post has vanished. If you click here and go to the 1:16 mark however you should be able to see that scene.
I found another Duval food store/bar scene that doesn’t feature a candy case but does have a lot of stuff hanging from the ceilings and stacked around the store on makeshift shelves. Looks a little like a bar room/country store that you know.
