Speaking of Socks (previous post) it called to mind President Clinton’s pet cat Socks (click here.) I had heard that Socks somehow made it to the County when Clinton’s secretary Bettie Currie left the White House and brought Socks with her to Hollywood, Maryland.
Why Socks had to split from the Clintons stems from the arrival of Clinton’s pet dog Buddy. Like cats and dogs, they did not get along.

Don’t you think the caption for the above photo should be something along the lines “Things were fine until YOU showed up.”
Socks was euthanized in 2009 following a series of medical issues but did manage to log 20 years. In human years that equals about 90, so Socks had a pretty good run.
Like Socks the Cat most songs just sorta end. However, Mitch kept your interest until the very end of this tune with his “Go ahead and sock it to me” at the 2:52 mark.
