I mentioned Berta in a previous post and it spurred me to pay her a visit the other day in the Bayside Nursing Home. I took her a copy of this article that I found in a 1985 edition of the Enterprise.
Also, I found this excellent article on the disappearing rural post office. Unfortunately, the Scotland Post Office is now in that category and seeing it become a rotting mess is a little disheartening.
I prefer to keep this image of it in mind.
