Each year about this time I drop by the County’s Visitor Center to pick up materials to have on hand for tourists and visitors as they pass thru Buzzy’s Country Store during the spring/summer months.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this year I did not have to go to Charlotte Hall because the Visitor Center is now located in Lexington Park in the Naval Air Museum.
The Museum itself is worth a visit. If you got the time, pay the admission and check things out. You can witness the history of Naval Aviation and see first hand just how Pax River has played such a vital role in all of that. The museum even has a couple of flight simulators where you can experience what it’s like to pilot a Navy jet.
