Quick follow up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame multiple inductees’ post I did the other day.
Most of the multiple inductees first made it into the HoF as members of a band and then as a solo artist when they went out on their own. (Clyde McPhatter, Rod Stewart and Neil Young were first inducted as Solo Artists and then they were subsequently inducted for being in a band (click here.)
But here is an oddity for you – the band The Travelling Wilburys are not members of the Rock and Roll HoF. However, all of the individual members of the Wilburys – Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan are in the HoF.
And here’s another of theirs’ with Roy in it.
This tune reminds me of the old saying about meeting folks “What you find in a bar, you lose in a bar.”
