Here is a nice story about an old general store in New Orleans’ French Quarter that has been around as a family run business since 1924.

The article mentions how the store’s founder John Matassa also owned a nearby record store. His son Cosimo Matassa was a record producer who worked with a number of artists such as Fats Domino, Ernie K-Doe, Irma Thomas and Allen Tousssant.
