The month of May is named after the Roman goddess Maia who is sometimes referred to as the Mother of the Gods.

May is a busy month in the Buzzy’s Country Store family starting with my niece Regi Hofmeister who celebrates today; Patrick Ridgell is on 6 May; Dave Berg 10 May; my cousins Joe White and Sister Marianne Ridgell celebrate on 10 May; Robby Norris’ Carol on 11 May; Kevin Adkins 14 May; my nephew Todd’s wife Sherrie also the 14th and then their daughter Piper on 18 May; Kim McKay celebrates on 17 May; Clyde Ridgell 18 May and Richard Mandeville on 19 May. Bootsie Norris celebrates on 31 May.
My daughter Reagan celebrates her big day on the 19th. Mothers’ Day (12th) and Memorial Day (27th) also pop in there to make May a festive and fun month.
And speaking of mothers and nature, here is something from a 1999 Letterman show featuring Emmylou, Dolly and Linda. Dolly takes the lead vocal, but focus on Linda doing the high voice backups. Sure do miss her not out there performing any more (click here.)
