Go Now or Later But Just GO!

I just made it back from a trip to Europe.  (I initially wrote “from across the pond.”  However, after I researched the origins of that phrase I found that it usually means that one visited England (click here.)  This time around (across?) I hit the Netherlands, France, Germany and Switzerland but England was not on the itinerary.

However, I sort of feel like I did visit there because the majority of the news over there these last two weeks focused on  Brexit and Theresa May’s handling of it.  In a way it was a nice change of pace from having to always hear about our Donald’s latest tantrums.  Still, the Brexit story is no less crazy than what we here in the U.S. have to endure as “news.”

The best Brexit reference I have heard is that it is like a messy divorce which Danny DeVito in the War of the Roses described as such:

I won’t even try to elaborate on anything having to do with Brexit except to say that the next deadline for them to either shit or get off the pot is very appropriately 31 October – Halloween!
