The Buzzy Car Show officially marks the “end of the season” as in the tourist season. I always think of and refer to the Car Show as Buzzy’s Super Bowl after which I can relax abit. Buzzy used to get away in October on his birthday; I try to get away following the car show.
When Steve Raley and I met with Lisa Kelly several months ago to discuss having our 50th high school reunion at her Island Ruddy Duck, she informed us that they do not close the restaurant for evening private parties until after the Oyster Festival. (We ended up having the reunion last Saturday during the afternoon at the Ruddy Duck.)
Thus, the Oyster Festival, which goes down this weekend, also marks an end to “the season.”
At the end of a tour with the Stones, keyboardist Chuck Leavell can’t wait to get back home and plant some trees. Check out this video.
