Quick followup to my post yesterday about the Beatles’ I Want to Hold Your Hand.
The official lyric in the song’s refrain goes “And when I touch you, I feel happy inside, it’s such a feeling that my love, I can’t hide, I can’t hide.”
In August 1964 the Beatles met Bob Dylan when they were all staying at the same hotel. Dylan offered them some pot which they declined saying that they did not smoke it. Dylan followed up by asking them why did they write about it then when they sang “I get high, I get high.” (For the complete story click here.)
