In Buzzy’s Country Store just about anytime mention is made about a chicken dinner someone will chime in “Winner winner, chicken dinner.” Here is how that particular quote came about (click here.)
And just because it has the line “better than chicken fried in bacon grease” (0:35 mark) here is a nice little 1940’s tune for you. I first heard the Stones version of it where they cited a drummer named Charlie McCoy. Seemed apropos since their drummer was Charlie Watts. However, turns out there was a lot of tampering with the original lyric sung here with the drummer named Eight Beat Mack (click here for changing-lyrics story.)
