Well, it has been awhile, but with the opening of SALT Waterfront Kitchen this weekend we are now back to having three excellent waterfront restaurants in Ridge all located approximately a quarter mile apart.
SALT is located at Point Lookout Marina at the end of Millers Wharf Road. Courtney’s and Pier 450 are at the end of Wynne Road. Pretty cool to have all three to choose from and located so close to one another.

Hats off to owner Shawn Craig who has poured a lot of his time, effort and you-know-what into reviving Point Lookout Marina and reopening the restaurant. Best of luck to him and his crew at SALT and the Marina!
As for today’s drizzly forecast, don’t let a little rain ruin the rest of your holiday weekend. June approaches and that means summertime is just around the corner. Grab that umbrella, put on your poncho and go do something fun!
Sly has a memoir coming out this fall (click here) that should be an interesting story. “Wanna Take You Higher” “Dance to the Music” and “Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin” were his biggest hits. However, I always liked this one of his even if I never knew what his Sister Rose was singing at the 00:55 mark. (Answer below.)
