While in Destin last week, we caught up with Mary Garland and her sister Trisha. Here is a photo I took of Mary Garland and Trisha’s husband Michael with his and Trisha’s Grandson Austin who works at a local restaurant on the beach.
Funny story – while Pam and I rendezvoused with Mary Garland, Trisha and Michael, our other travel mates Lisa Mercure, Connie and Duncan Lepper, Darline and Greg Madjeski waited to meet up with us at the restaurant’s bar. As Austin served them their drinks and beers, he asked where they were all from and they told him Maryland. He then noted that his Grandparents were from Maryland not knowing that that’s exactly whom they were waiting to meet up with in a few minutes.
Following lunch we all went back to Mary Garland’s house in Lake Lorraine, Shalimar. Great fun and we all had a good time reminiscing and catching up. Somewhere along the line, Mary Garland brought out a shoe box full of old photos. A sample follows. See how many you recognize.
If you can name everybody here that’s pretty good because a) your memory is that good and b) you are still here and able to do so!
