Maryland Department of Transportation folks have been working just below Buzzy’s Country Store to replace a culvert running underneath Rt. 5. I think the purpose of the project was to help alleviate a flooding situation that existed on the other side of the road where the stream bed begins to drain. I say I think this is what they were trying to do, but I am not really sure. It seems like alot of work for something that did not appear to me to be that much of a problem to begin with. However, I guess we can all sleep better knowing that we will now have a bigger and better drainage pipe in downtown Scotland.

Check out this tune here from Mike and the Moonpies singing about a different kind of road crew. Note Johnny Carbone putting down the book he was reading to weigh in at the 2:40 mark with a catchy little riff. Guess you could say that this was a case of Johnny being good. Go, Johnny go!
P.S. ”The Beaches of Biloxi” is another great tune from Mike & Company so, if you can do so, check it out (click here.) Great video too.
