Pt. Lookout Lighthouse – Occupants & Visitors

Last Wednesday Tracey Summersday and the folks at Point Lookout State Park held an open house for local community residents to visit and check out the renovations and the newly-installed-exhibits in the Lighthouse. (Even though the Lighthouse renovations were completed some time ago, its re-opening has been delayed pending installation of the interior exhibits.

Several of my Buzzy friends attended the open house. Everyone I talked to was impressed with all that has been done in restoring the Lighthouse to its glory days circa 1920. The recently installed exhibits also got good reviews. For a look at how nice the exhibits are, Charlotte Yeatman did a great job taking several photos and posting them on her FB page (click here.) Here are a couple of her pics of the exhibits:

I like this photo that Charlotte took from upstairs in the Lighthouse looking back up the road. (Note that I made a little, no-so-subliminal insertion.)

When I asked my Buzzy friends if they had seen or sensed anything having to do with the ghost(s) supposedly in the Ligthouse everyone said “No.”

But then, Pat Birmingham showed me this photo that his wife Pam took of him as he entered the Lighthouse cupola:

Now look a little closer and you will see that Pat and Pam may gave had some company:

It reminded me of this classic Pt. Lookout Lighthouse photo taken by Ron Stallings several years ago:

Here is the background as to how that photo was taken:

The following video also discusses Nancy and Ron’s photo at the 5:20 mark.

And speaking of company, it was good seeing Bad Company make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (click here🙂
