Lots going on around the County this weekend with a little bit of everything from a Van Halen cover band at the Rex to horseback riding in Greenwell State park (click here for details on these and additional events.)
Something that caught my eye is the two day Ren Fest set in Leonardtown click here.
And speaking of Van Halen, when ever someone rolls into Buzzy’s Country Store sporting a Van Halen shirt or hat I always ask them “Sammy or David Lee?” Their answers are usually semi-twisted as they invariably go back and forth with caveats about which one they prefer. Few of them will ever give me a straight up answer.
However, should they meander too much, I will cut them off and say “Nope. You gotta pick one. Who you got?” And even with that ultimatum, most of them will still have trouble deciding. Sometimes, some of them will use the old deflection debating trick by asking me “I don’t know. Who do you say?” I am ready for them however, when they ask this because to me it’s a no brainier as I tell them “Not even close; hands down David Lee, if nothing else just for Jump.”
