Cruises to Smith Island from Pt. Lookout Marina will resume this coming Thursday. It gives you an opportunity to get out on the water and go see how some folks manage to live their lives even if they are stuck on an island out in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.
My buddy Capt. Greg Madjeski will be your Captain and ensure a safe trip so make your reservations and go take a cruise across the Bay. And no, it is not a three hour tour; it’s more like 6-7 hours start to finish.
I mentioned Patty Smyth previously (click here) as Scandal’s lead vocalist and their big hit “Goodbye to You.” However, she was every bit as good and compelling on this Tom Waits’ tune that she did as a solo artist post-Scandal. And while Rod Stewart may have had the bigger hit with it after Patty first covered it, I always liked her take a little more. (Of course her wearing that black mini skirt in the video may have influenced me some.) Rod’s take was good, but Patty’s was great. Twofer Tuesday, so see and judge for yourself.
