Heard Adam Levine discussing this tune with Howard the other day and it hit me hard in a couple different ways. A) I had not known that it was about the death of a loved one (in this case Levine’s and his bandmates’ manager;) and B) with Mother’s Day and my Brother Steve’s passing occurring in the month of May, it makes me sadder still when I think of both my Mom and Steve having moved on. It is not just the drinks that have a way of bringing back all the memories of loved ones who are no longer here.
