Billy just yesterday at Buzzy’s with his new bike. Guess that black bikes matter too.

Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo man Rick Derringer went outta here a few months back. Check out this story about how he felt that his producing Weird Al’s albums hurt his rock n roll cred and ultimately his career (click here.) Don’t know why, but I always liked and looked forward to hearing his “Did somebody say keep on rocking” ad lib here at the 1:41 mark.
Since it is a Twofer Tuesday check Johnny’s original take on the tune and see if you don’t agree that his omitting “Keep on rocking” (1:40-1:45) just doesn’t sound quite right.
P.S. Some more rock and roll trivia for you. Rick’s reference to “a group named the Jokers really laying it down,” was Dickey Betts in a band by that name pre-Allman Brothers (click here.)
