The last NFL Pre-season games will be played this weekend with one seeing the Ravens at the Commanders Saturday at noon. Just to get you in a NFL gambling frame of mind, BetMGM had this blurb:
If you don’t ascribe to that old gambling maxim “Only a fool bets on NFL pre-season games,” then let’s do a small wager on the Commanders and them getting 3 points to at least cover.
Sunday, the Little League World Series will conclude with their Championship game scheduled for 3 p.m. We will have it on the Buzzy Big Screen and root for whichever team makes into the American bracket. I still think it’s a little sad that we have to have an American bracket versus an International Bracket just because we needed to ensure that at least one American team would make it to the finals. This mandate was implemented in 1976 after Taiwan had won five consecutive championships (click here for more info.) Guess they wanted to lock in that American T-V market tuning in for the finals.
Instead of some music today, how about this from Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones? He went way up in my opinion when I saw him do this scene in “Landman.” Stay for Billy Bob saying “I’m a few eggs short of a spring chicken that’s for sure.”
