Many nights the best story on the evening news is the last one where they show you something heart warming, sappy or funny. Two recent doggy stories caught my attention:
First up (or down?) a pitbull that really does like being in a pit:
Next, a lady rescued thanks to her dog:
Check out the Beatles woofing it up here with this tune that was originally titled Hey Bullfrog. Paul’s barking at the song’s end (2:09) to make John laugh, led to John re-titling it to Hey Bulldog.

I was hoping for something a little more esoteric like, Diamond Dogs by David Bowie. Admittedly, not his best album, but the title track and of course Rebel Rebel still hold up well.
Sorry, somehow I left out my last thought. Off the top of my head, I can think of three other songs about dogs; Me and You and a Dog Named Boo by Lobo, Shannon by Henry Gross and Mandy by Barry Manilow. Not everyone realizes those last two songs are about dogs, but they are.
