Speaking of AI (previous post) here is a good Sunday-Go-To Church offering for you titled “Gods in the Machine.” Check the article out but with the caveat that it may just scare the hell out of you. (Have you ever noticed that just about every article, discussion or comment about AI includes the word scary? It’s a little scary how often scary gets said. Think they are trying to tell us something?)
Musically, there is this tune for you. On another sort-of-scary-note, when I first found this video on YouTube a few days ago, its total number of views was listed as 666. Maybe somebody really IS trying to tell me something!
When defining religion, the Marx quote of it being the “opium of the masses” gets thrown around a lot. However, I submit that today, it is sports in general, and in the U.S. football specifically, that serves as the opium of the masses. (In other countries, soccer is their drug of choice.)
Given that dynamic, Buzzy’s will be having some NFL action on the big screen today with the Bills playing the Jags starting at 1 o’clock. I have the Bills as my overall Super Bowl winner this year. Thus, now that I have jinxed them accordingly, watch ’em get Jagged off today in their very first game. (Sorry Bills fans.)
On the NFC side of the house, I am riding with old guy Matthew Stafford and his Rams for a Bills/Rams Super Bowl. My bookie is already counting her money. My going goal in goal was to break even with her this season and that is where I currently stand. However, you know the pigs and hogs saying, so let’s get ready to do some gambling.
OBTW – if you aren’t familiar with the pigs/hogs’ saying, I will save you from having to click on the link explaining it by showing you this quote from Mark Cuban. Ironically enough, note that he was talking about the NFL:

Nevertheless, Go Bills!
