With all the talk about today’s Halftime Show at the Super Bowl I took a gander at how previous shows were ranked. According to Entertainment Weekly, Beyonce’s performance at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show was the All Time Best one (click here.)
Just so happens that my all time best sons Brady and Shea were in New Orleans to witness it. (Although they both say that they spent most of half time roaming around the stadium concourse and didn’t see much of Queen Bey.) Here is a photo of them from a Buzzyblog post I did back then (click here.)
This was the Super Bowl where the Ravens were blowing out the 49ers when the lights mysteriously went out after Jacoby Jones had returned the second half opening kickoff for a TD and made the score 28-6. The Ravens held on to win. However, neither the Ravens nor Beyonce have ever appeared in a Super Bowl since then. The lights really did go out on them!
For today, I like the under (45.5) and the Seahawks to avenge their 2014 Super Bowl loss to the Patriots on what has been deemed the worst/dumbest play call in Super Bowl history (click here.) Karma comes a calling today however, and the Hawks seem ready to fly high.
