Woody and the Dead

I have always been a fan of Woody Harrelson ever since I first caught him on Cheers Season Four when he assumed the bartender role previously played Nicholas Colasantos/Coach.

He related this funny story (below) on his first meeting and “jamming” with the Grateful Dead. (To view the complete interview with Woody (click here.))

At the start of the video, Woody mentions Bob Weir who passed away in January of this year. Netflix has a very good documentary titled The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir that is worth checking out. I liked one of the critics’ description of it: “if you are a Deadhead, you will definitely want to see this film, but if you like documentaries and can’t remember the 60s, you will also enjoy this.”

And since Woody mentioned it, might as well play it. (“Drink all day, gonna and rock all night” (2:05) ah yes, those really were the good old days!)

Holy Thursday and while there will be no washing of your feet at Buzzy’s, rest assured that you can certainly wash down some of your favorite brews and drinks. What better way to welcome in Good Friday than having a hangover to put you in a proper penitential mood!
