Well, it didn’t take long for the internet gremlins to start bugging me with Rick Steves-related items. Following a recent Buzzyblog post on him and his new book. I got all sorts of popups, suggestions and ads:
I just finished reading his On the Hippie Trail and thoroughly enjoyed it. He not only talks about the places and sights he saw and visited, but he also describes his interactions with people he met along the way. At the book’s conclusion, he makes this statement:
He repeats that “build bridges not walls” in a recent article discussing his appearance at one of his On the Hippie Trail book signings.
Music-wise, folks have even written songs about Rick:
