A few weeks ago Chief Larry and I featured Barbara Sopato talking about and introducing the singing group the Nightingales. It was part of their promotion of the recent RenFest held in Leonradtown.
Prior to the arrival of the Nightingales at Buzzy’s, we sat down with Barbara and she relayed the following:
As you see, Barbara turned the tables on me by surprising me with a very nice gift: an old photo of Mike and JW Raley, Tom McCoy, Brother Stevie and me.
Following my recent Blogpost on the anniversary of Steve’s passing, Tom sent me this very nice note describing Steve.

Speaking of “off the wall,” the TV series “Barry” starring Bill Hader and Henry Winkler has been on for several years now, but I have only recently had it on my dance card. A little on the dark side, it is also very funny in ways that will surprise you. Plus, it has a great Soundtrack with some great tunes (click here.) Since Barbara mentioned being an Island Girl, check out Elton providing background music here for a bunch of Bandstanders trying to dance to it. (OK, there may be a couple of them who could actually shake a tail feather and dance a little after all!)
