Here is something I never thought nor asked about previously “The origins of ice cream.” It came to mind when I read this discussion in Today in History:

Turns out that Lizzy was not the “inventor of ice cream” as something resembling it had been around many years before she served it up to George and Martha (click here.) However, her serving it to George got the ball rolling as it seems George developed a liking of the treat:

Two hundred dollars was a lot of money back then. (Think it was expense allowance money? Not the point here, because we’re talking ice cream!)
My Buzzy ice cream sales rep Christine was just in the Store this Thursday talking me into stocking up with their new Ben and Jerry flavors. (Christine is flirty and cute so of course, I ordered some after she scooped me up so to speak with her sales pitch.)

Of course she advised me that prices have gone up. Even the lower priced Spongebob Icecreams are now equal to the cost of a beer. Go figure.
Back to Lizzy H., she and Alexander had 8 children before he got taken out in the infamous duel with Aaron Burr. An ironic historical footnote to Hamilton’s duel death in Weehawken, New Jersey is that the duel took place not far from where his oldest son Philip was shot and died also in a duel. Talk about “dual” deaths, Poor Liz had to bury both her oldest son and her husband within a three year timeframe.
As for some music, yep, you just knew that there had to be a song about Ice Cream and Guns:
