As I was adding that Nick Lowe song “I Knew the Bride” to yesterday’s Buzzyblog post, another of his tunes popped up out of nowhere and played in the background. (I have all my music CD’s stashed in a player that I put on random play when I want to listen to some tunes. Sometimes it amazes me what song will play at the exact time I’m doing something related to it. Talk about ghosts in the machine!)
Thus, when Nick sang the following, I had to smile at the coincidence of sitting here pre-dawn busy being busy and listening to this tune about being in between. I also realized “Wow, this is also a great tune.”
Some of the lyrics:

Early riser that I am, I spend a lot of my time vegging between dark and dawn. Nick knew exactly what sort of thoughts can and do run through the mind in those moments. (P.S. If you are not familiar with Nick and his work, here is a good article for you to check out (click here.)
Although it is not a Tuesday, how about Twofer for Wednesday and a related Gospel Tune on this subject of being between two places.
No more in betweenness for Dolly. When the news broke yesterday, everyone in Buzzy’s Country Store and all those who came in afterward, commented on her passing. She was 80. (And yes I will refrain from any jokes about “Wrong 80 year old.”) But here is a little bit of Dolly music trivia I was unaware of:

Good for Dolly that she didn’t let the Colonel push her around.
