Tax Day

Since the traditional 15 April date for filing taxes has been monkeyed with this year (click here), why not just make this third Monday in April the day that tax returns are due and simultaneously make it a national holiday?   The stretch we have from Presidents’ Day in February to May’s Memorial Day is the longest time we go without a holiday.  Suggest we drop one in here in April and at least pretend that there is something fun about filing taxes.  (Some years the third Monday would even be Easter Monday and thereby would give folks more time off for Easter-related activities.)
Here are a couple video’s about filing taxes.  (Warning – the second one is a contrarian view that may surprise you.)
