Beau Brummell(s) – “You don’t learn everything there is to know in school”

Heard this on Tony Kornheiser the other day so I looked it up to see if Tony was joking around or if he was being serious.  There really was a dude named Beau Brummell who was born on 7 June 1778 and “is credited with introducing and establishing as fashion the modern man’s suit, worn with a tie.  He claimed to take five hours to dress, and recommended that boots be polished with champagne” (from Wikipedia. Click here for more info.)
Of course my point of reference here is the San Francisco group named the Beau Brummels.  Think I still have their first album stashed in a milk crate somewhere.
