Nice couple dropped in the Store Saturday night. Once they knocked back a few drinks, they revealed that they were on their first date after having hooked up via an internet dating site. I joked with the lady that she’d found a real happening dude since he had brought her to Buzzy’s for their first date. She laughed and said that she was really enjoying it and that Buzzy’s was a good place to relax, drink and get to know one another. (It will be interesting to see how this relationship does or doesn’t pan out. Stay tuned for updates.)
Did lead me to thinking though that maybe I should pursue a new business model here at Buzzy’s Country Store by hooking folks up and calling it something like “First Date Buzzy’s,” “It’s Just Buzzy’s” or “BuzzyHarmony.com.” Might just work since Buzzy’s is the perfect place for a first date – laid back, everyone’s friendly and there’s no pressure. Plus if the date doesn’t work out, the participants have a built in excuse and can always blame the environment i.e. “Do you believe he took me to Buzzy’s for our first date!” Here’s a tune that may or not have anything to do with first dates but it’s still a great song nonetheless.
