Conversation in Buzzy’s Country Store the last couple days has focused on General Petraeus and his affair with his biographer. Nothing like a little sex scandal to galvanize everyone’s attention right? Fiscal cliff, Gaza bombings, Bengahzi, hell, even the demise of the Twinkie have all taken a back seat to discussing the General and his cheating heart or whatever other part of his body strayed. (John Hiatt’s “I’m so easily misled, when the the little head does the thinking” comes to mind.)
After laughing and joking about it for a bit, the Buzzy conversations usually land on privacy matters and how the FBI found out about the affair by reading through Petraeus’ email traffic. The following Fox News report from March of this year seems a little ironic now. Wonder if the general suspected anything back then? On second thought, no way as he was probably too busy conducting his own covert mission.
