Armstrong Pt. 2

Re: Armstrong as in Louie, I only became aware of his impact and musical greatness when I watched Ken Burns’ jazz special a couple years ago.  Prior to that, I had never thought much of ole Satchmo and by extension his music.  In my defense, most of my point of reference for him was always all of that Hello Dolly crap that made him seem kind of lame and hokey.  

But it was Burns who changed my overall opinion of Mr. Armstrong. It was from watching the segment on Louie that I first learned about the origins of the scat style of singing which Louie initiated due to having dropped his sheet music:
