When Peggy Binzel first visited Buzzy’s Country Store a few years back, I had to smile when I learned that she was the owner of the house (above) in RoDo Beach that used to belong to my ex-in-laws. (That my former mother-in-law was also named Peggy seemed even more ironic to me.)
Peggy renovated the house, dubbed it Summerlee and began renting it out by the week to folks who wanted to get away and enjoy the land of pleasant living.
She then purchased the Scheible property next door and had Rory Feicht build a new four story home that she named Kentigern (below.) In addition to the RoDo Beach Properties, Peggy also has a place at Hays Beach that she rents out (click here and scroll down.)

Through the years, I’ve enjoyed having her visitors, whom I refer to as “Peggy’s People,” drop in Buzzy’s Country Store. Peggy has a “for local color and entertainment, go to Buzzy’s” note in her rentals. I would imagine that her visitors realize just how much they are in the country when Buzzy’s is listed as their primary source of entertainment.
Just look at how booked up Summerlee is for the rest of this year (click here and scroll down to see calendar) , Makes you appreciate what we have here in Southern Maryland, as so many others are willing to spend good money and go out of their way to visit here and experience it. Thank you Peggy for helping to make this happen! (For more info, check out Peggy’s Scotland Yards’ Facebook site.)
