Frances Bean Titus told me that the last time she was in Buzzy’s was in 1983 after a fire had almost destroyed the Store. To thank the Fire Department volunteers who saved the Store that night in ’83, Buzzy had a party for them and Frances and her husband Joey came down for it. She had not been in Buzzy’s Country Store since then.
Well, that absence was corrected last Saturday night, when Debbie Fairfax escorted Frances and her nephew Brian down to Buzzy’s. They were joined there by Frances’ nieces Linda and Joan who thankfully, have been to Buzzy’s a little more frequently than once every 30 years. All this talk of the fire made me dig out the old Enterprise front page coverage of it.
