College football begins its Saturday saturation today but all in all it doesn’t move me much. I appreciate all the collegiate atmospheric rah-rah stuff, but overall it just seems a little too boring. That said however, I did find myself reading and enjoying this GQ article on Alabama’s Nick Saban (click here.) Good job of giving us a look at what motivates Saban and how driven he is.

He beat the stuffings out of Auburn the past two years and their coach was fired. I predict that Les Miles and Mark Richt are next….. Saban decimated the ND Crying Irish and the Pope stepped down! Alabama is a 20+ point favorite over Virginia Tech today. Since it is the first game of the season for both teams, I doubt that Tech’s Coach Frank Beamer will resign when Saban’s Tide rolls over the Hokies. As to laying the 20 and doing some casual wagering though, I may just have to watch some college football after all.
