I told him yesterday that I would help him celebrate his 87th birthday if he agreed to hang around and help me celebrate mine in 25 years. Charlie agreed to do so. Knowing Charlie, he’ll probably make it too even if I don’t!
Charlie was born in Vinita, Oklahoma. The name Oklahoma comes from Choctaw Indian phrase meaning “red people.” Wonder if the push to make the Redskins change their name (click here for story) will extend to making Oklahoma change theirs?
