Pam and I saw three movies this past week as we embark on our annual quest to try and see all of the potential Academy Award nominees. (The Golden Globes last night was the start of the award season.) Here then are the three trailers from the movies we saw:
In what seems to be a common theme this year, all three of the movies we saw were based on true stories about a scandal of some sort or other. Hustle was about the Abscam scandal, Philomina about a Catholic Church adoption scandal and Wall Street about a money scandal.
Maybe next go round we’ll encounter some upbeat “nice” movies like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid:
