Granted, today in history is most famous for the Rove v. Wade decision. But check out this recap of Rolling Stone publishing also on this day (in 1981) the last cover featuring John Lennon (click here.) Even more ironic is that their RS cover photo (left) was taken the morning that John was shot (the previous month.) Here then is just maybe my favorite Beatles tune, even if Yoko is in the title. Thankfully though, she’s not on the record. Best critic’s review of Yoko’s singing that I ever read went along the lines that she sounds like “a cat excreting razor blades.”
