I’ve discussed this painting of Guy Brothers’ Store before (click here.) But check out this photo that Robin Hammett posted on the Facebook site “You Know You’re From St. Mary’s When.” (Comments on Robin’s post follow.)
I talked to George Guy’s daughter Brenda about the painting and she told me that her Dad had had it done in Florida. George gave the artist a couple different photographs to work from. Car-wise it sure looks like the photo that Robin posted has a lot in common with the painting doesn’t it? As Robin notes in her comment below, even George’s Arrow Beer truck makes an appearance (third one from the right.) Every picture tells a story don’t it?
