How About Lynyrd Skynyrd?

Most of the dudes named Leonard that I’ve known have been fairly memorable characters.  For instance there was Leonard Raley and Leonard Dean along with my former boss Leonard Ferris whom I’ve mentioned previously (click here.)

They came to mind when I read a review of a new book about Leonard Cohen (click here.)  Always liked his music, but found that I had to be in a certain mood or frame of mind to appreciate what he was saying.  His most famous tune Suzanne I never particularly cared for but would find myself humming it over and over if I heard it early in the day.  His “So Long Marianne” I probably listened to too much at one point in my life and too have a love/hate regard for it.

So when it comes to LC, I like his stuff but with a big caveat that it depends on other variables.  But this “Waiting for the Miracle” tune of his does nail it.  Maybe that’s just because it reflects where I am in my life right now.  (For more background on LC click Leonard Cohen.)
