There are a dozen or so folks who visit Buzzy’s Country Store either daily or at least a couple times a week. (I don’t particularly like the term “regulars” but I guess that’s probably the best description of these folks. I prefer to say that these guys and gals are Buzzy’s “good friends.”)
And then there are several dozen folks who visit Buzzy’s periodically. Bikers, day trippers, out-of-towners, maybe even some distant relatives will drop into Buzzy’s from time to time just to say hi and to catch up on things. I enjoy all of these visits and in fact it’s what keeps me going. (I’ve joked with folks previously that “If I was here for the money, then I wouldn’t be here.”)
And then there is a another breed of periodic visitors I call the Every-4-Years-folks aka politicians. I was teasing Randy Guy about this the other day when he was in Buzzy’s doing some politicking. It was his first time back in Buzzy’s since he ran four years ago.
But Randy’s not the only politico that I see on a 4 year basis. Come election time, candidates are out and about meeting and greeting and Buzzy’s is a meeting and greeting kind of place.
I guess the word is out that Thursday night at Buzzy’s is politico night because that seems to be when they turn up.
Following his recent visit to the Store, Shane Mattingly posted the following on his FB:

P.S. Brother Dave “Judge” Densford has been the exception to this only-see-them-when-they are-running phenomena, as he and his partner Terri have been in Buzzy’s several times since he won his judgeship seat last year.
