Remember all those disc jockeys who used to do “Two for Tuesday” where they would play two songs back to back? Of course, after playing the two songs they would then make up for lost time by doing 10 minutes of commercials but they would still make you think that you were getting to listen to more music.
Here then is a twofer for you which happens to be the same song done by two different folks. Dissimilar as they are, I like one of them much more over the other. Given my age (old) and race (white dude) it shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out which one gets the Buzzy thumbs up.
However, I must be in the minority on this because Beyoncé’s version has over 51 million views while John’s has only 1 million views. (Hey John, maybe if you put some video in your video you’d have some more views.)
Also, with a little recognition for Johnny Winters’ passing away last week (he was “ONLY” 70) here are two different versions of Stray Cat Blues.
I did note that in this 2003 version Mick has moved the young girl’s age up to 16. Progress eh?
