Following my posting of the above photo the other day, someone asked me the whereabouts of those of us in this photo. Ironic that this person asked me this, because I had started to say something along those lines as I posted it, but it got to be a little too sad when I tried to do so. Six of the eleven in the photo are no longer with us.
Granddaddy and Ms. Hattie, one wouldn’t expect them to still be here today. However, the other 4 members of that photo who are not here all died way too young. John 68, Charles 46, Leona Jayne 54 and my brother Steve 59 left us way too early.
(Didn’t realize until now that the prayer chosen for Steve’s card is one that I am very familiar with.)
As for those of us in the photo who are still here, cousins Sister Marianne Ridgell is in Florida, Lorraine Teefey is in Ridge and Joe White is in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Sister Donna Jean resides in Scotland and you know where I am.
