When I mentioned the Colts 1958 championship the other day, it reminded me of their center on that team Buzz Nutter. 

After, and probably even during his football career, Buzz used to work for National Beer and would deliver beer to Buzzy’s Country Store.  (This was back in the day when ball players were not millionaires and had to work during the off season to make ends meet. Times have certainly changed right?)  Whenever Buzz was in the Store, I would try and talk football with him but all he would ever say was “Football is for sissies.”  He laughed as he said it and I knew sarcasm when I heard it.  

Many years later I would take his son’s wedding pictures.  It was fun discussing with Buzz Jr. how our paths intersected via Buzzy’s.  

But just last week, I was in Beacon Liquors talking to Eric Ford about who distributes Arizona Beverages.  He gave me a POC to phone at Center Distributors in La Plata.  I called them and started the ball rolling to open an account with them and begin stocking their products in Buzzy’s.  

So imagine my surprise just now when I checked out Buzz Nutter’s bio and found the following:
