I vowed to try and keep Buzzy’s Country Store a Trump-free zone and avoid any mention of him. I guess in a way then I’m just like all those mainstream Republicans who are trying to ignore him in hopes that he goes away. However, the Donald is sticking like gum on your shoe.
So when the young lady wearing a Wharton University of Pennsylvania ball cap approached the counter in Buzzy’s a few weeks ago I debated mentioning to her that the Donald was perhaps Wharton’s most famous alum. I simply said “I never knew that Trump went to Wharton.” She noted that not only had Daddy Trump attended Wharton but also that his daughter Ivanka Trump went there too and was a classmate of hers.
After some chit chat, we exchanged business cards and turns out that she is a Presidential appointee serving as a Regional Administrator of the Small Business Administration. I told her “When it comes to small businesses, you just visited one of the smallest in your area.”
Since her first name was Natalia this one is for her ….
