Two-for-Tuesday with a couple old Lexington Park pictures both with a WPTX reference.
First up is an old photo of Jack Daughtery’s Furniture Store that he later sold to Bill Raley.
I was unaware that WPTX was originally located on the second floor of this building.
However, I do remember WPTX being next door to the Plaza Movie Theater where this photo below was taken. Bobby Kennedy made a campaign stop in Southern Maryland and met the movers and shakers shown here in front of the WPTX radio station.
