Scooter at Buzzy's – Forever

Scooter Hoile passed away on 31 July of this year at the young age of 56 after an extended battle with cancer.  Through the years he was a frequent visitor to Buzzy’s Country Store along with several of his biker buddies from the Hollywood area.

Thus, following his death, when Scooter’s friend Muriel called to inform me that they were organizing Scooter’s Last Ride and wanted to include Buzzy’s on their itinerary, I immediately said yes.  Muriel then informed me that they planned to spread some of Scooter’s ashes at each stop and wanted to make sure I was ok with that too.  I said “No problem.”

Muriel and over 100 of Scooter’s friends motored into Buzzy’s on Sunday 12 August.  Brian Barnhill filmed the following of Scooter’s sister Noni Lehman scattering some of his ashes at Buzzy’s.

Scooter once told me that another reason he liked Buzzy’s so much was that his middle name was Busie.  When he first told me that, I noted to him that Buzzy’s original nickname was also Bussy but that he had changed it to Buzzy.

Here is some additional info about Scooter.
