Lots of things going on this weekend and hopefully the weather gods will be kind (click here.) (They have already caused the cancellation of the annual Governor’s Cup Race.)
However, several other events of note are going on throughout the County ranging from Lawnmower Races to Leonardtown’s First Friday soiree.
In South County, we have the Ridge Carnival taking place, the Legion’s Queen of Hearts drawing tonite and Sunset Cove Restaurant with an all girls band The Bootleggers set for Saturday evening.
As always Buzzy’s Country Store will be open for you to “tune up” while enroute to these or whatever other events you have on your calendars.
And speaking of girl bands, check out this video featuring the Goddesses of Bagpipes. If you are like me and don’t particularly care for bagpipe music, fast forward to the 2:30 mark where they kick into Enter Sandman and see if that doesn’t get your mojo going:
