Personal Note – as opposed to say an impersonal note: I don’t really have much to say today. Buzzy Christmas party is this Saturday, blah, blah. Trump’s getting impeached. Christmas is this time next week. Weather is shitty. Life goes on.
So, just for the hell of it, I thought I would run through some things that I have had stashed in the ole kit bag for awhile now but haven’t had the energy to expand upon to any extent. I know, you don’t visit the Buzzyblog for well thought out stuff anyway!
First up is a photo of Pt. Lookout Prison Camp then and now water-wise. Interesting that the river side has pretty much stayed intact while the Bay side has lost such a lot of ground. (Don’t know where I got this from so no link.)
And re: my mentioning lousy weather, someone in Buzzy’s Country Store noted how all of this rain we have been having could have been snow. Reminded me that I have had this little blurb in the chamber for some time now:
Then there is this old ad from a 1945 edition of the St. Mary’s Beacon (click here.) My buddy Eddie Bacon confirmed that this was his father who ran the bar at Snyder’s Corner. He also told me that he had some old photos of the place that he would try to find and send me. Should he ever find those I will pass them along. (Guess you can say I’m waiting on Bacon.)
I think I found this photo of a Duffy’s t-shirt posted on Massey’s You Know You’re From St. Mary’s FB page. I was waiting to talk to Dee Duffy about it but you know how that goes when you’re waiting on a woman. (Answer – you may be waiting awhile.)
As with the t-shirt photo, I am not sure where I nicked this farming photo from. (I had to think about being naked but not in a literal sense!)
And speaking of clothing, recall my post the other day about Ugly Sweaters?
Well, the Washington Post also weighed in on that subject (click here.)

And speaking of a dude named Eddie and rainy weather, it took Eddie Rabbit many years to get around to finishing and recording this tune: (Note that there is something special about the alternating finger snaps and claps that he is trying to teach the audience how to do at the song’s beginning. Note too how he says that women always learn it real quick. Now if they could just learn to be on time, we wouldn’t have to always wait for them!)
